04.11.2025 09:09:55 Yes, the Consulate of Ukraine in the United Kingdom can provide consular certification (authentication) of Ukrainian educational documents such as diplomas, transcripts, and certificates. However, this certification does not replace academic recognition in the UK. The Consulate’s role is limited to verifying the authenticity of the signatures and seals on Ukrainian-issued documents before they are legalized for use abroad. For the documents to be accepted by UK universities or employers, they usually must first be authenticated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and then legalized or apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MOFA). After that, the Consulate can verify or legalize them for submission to UK authorities.
04.11.2025 09:42:57 While the Ukrainian Consulate in the UK can assist with document verification, it cannot itself grant academic recognition or equivalence of diplomas. The Consulate may authenticate the educational documents issued in Ukraine to confirm their origin and genuineness, provided they have been previously certified by the relevant Ukrainian authorities (for instance, MOES and MOFA). Once legalized, these documents may be submitted to UK bodies such as UK ENIC or universities for further evaluation. Employers in the UK generally require notarized and translated versions of these documents, which can also be certified through the Consulate or recognized translators registered with the Embassy.
