The Consulate’s role is limited to verifying the authenticity of the signatures and seals on Ukrainian-issued documents before they are legalized for use abroad. For the documents to be accepted by UK universities or employers, they usually must first be authenticated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and then legalized or apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MOFA). After that, the Consulate can verify or legalize them for submission to UK authorities.

The Consulate may authenticate the educational documents issued in Ukraine to confirm their origin and genuineness, provided they have been previously certified by the relevant Ukrainian authorities (for instance, MOES and MOFA).
