11.11.2025 12:41:45 At present, Ukrainian consulates abroad, including the Consulate in Manchester, do not issue internal Ukrainian ID cards (паспорт громадянина України у формі ID-картки). This document can only be obtained within Ukraine through the territorial offices of the State Migration Service. However, the Consulate can assist in verifying your identity and citizenship, providing notarial certification, and issuing a Temporary Travel Document if you need to return to Ukraine to apply for the ID card there. For consular registration or other services, you should present your valid Ukrainian passport for foreign travel or an expired one together with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate or previous ID. It’s recommended to book an appointment online through the Consulate’s e-queue system and contact them beforehand to confirm the required documents for your specific case.

If you have lost your ID or need to obtain one for the first time, you must travel to Ukraine to complete the biometric procedure. The Consulate can, however, assist you by issuing a Temporary Travel Document or confirming your citizenship to facilitate your return. When visiting the Consulate, you should bring any documents proving your Ukrainian citizenship — such as a passport, birth certificate, or previous ID — as well as recent passport-size photos. The staff can provide guidance on the documents you’ll need once in Ukraine and verify your records to ensure a smooth ID issuance process upon arrival.
