Ukrainian men must visit one of the diplomatic institutions of Ukraine in Great Britain for military registration. As reported by the press service of the consular department of the Embassy of Ukraine in Great Britain, the current legislation does not provide for restrictions for men of conscription age to receive consular services.

Duties for conscripts, conscripts and reservists

• Be on military registration at consular institutions of Ukraine abroad, if the stay outside of Ukraine exceeds three months.
• In person, within seven days after arriving in the United Kingdom, with a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and military registration documents, to appear at one of the foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine on the territory of Britain for military registration.< /li>
• Information about persons of draft age undergoing temporary consular registration at the embassy is also included in the military registration of conscripts, conscripts and reservists maintained by the institution.

Restrictions on consular services for men of conscription age

Data on persons of draft age (18-65 years old), who undergo temporary consular registration at the embassy, ​​are also included in the military registration of conscripts, conscripts and reservists, which is maintained by this institution.

The embassy reminds that the current legislation does not provide for restrictions on the provision of consular services for men of conscription age.

Who is obliged to register for military registration?

Must register for military registration:

• Persons of conscription age from 16 to 27;
• Conscripts and reservists who have not reached the maximum age of being in the reserve;
• Women with medical or pharmaceutical education;
• On request, women with education in professions related to military affairs.

New functions of diplomatic institutions of Ukraine abroad

With the introduction of the new resolution, Ukrainian embassies and consulates received the following new powers:

• Keep military records of conscripts, conscripts and reservists temporarily registered in institutions.
• Within 7 days, notify the territorial recruitment and social support centers, the SBU and units of the Foreign Intelligence Service about the registration or removal from consular records of conscripts.

According to the new resolution, removal from military registration of persons who plan to go abroad for more than 3 months is possible only after a personal visit with relevant documents confirming border crossing to one of of the following institutions:

• Territorial center of recruitment and social support
• SBU
• Subdivision of the Foreign Intelligence Service

Conscripted citizens going abroad for more than 3 months must register at the embassy or consulate of Ukraine in the country of residence.
