Student Visa
Приветствую 👋
Меня зовут Александр, я Ваш персональный менеджер. Давайте я Вам помогу?

Недавно нашей команде задали вопрос: “I received my CAS letter and have the required amount of money in my bank account, but the funds were deposited only 2 weeks ago.
Will this be a problem for the 28-day financial requirement, and can I provide additional proof of long-term savings or family support?”
Мы хотим поделиться ответами наших специалистов:
05.09.2025 12:40:39 Yes, this may be a problem. For a UK Student visa, the financial requirement is strict: your funds must have been held in your account for a continuous 28-day period before the application date. If the money was deposited only 2 weeks ago, it does not meet the rule, and the Home Office is likely to refuse the application. Additional proof, such as family support letters or evidence of long-term savings in another account, will not normally replace the 28-day requirement unless the funds are held in an account that also meets the rules. Exceptions apply only if you are sponsored by an official financial sponsor (government, university, or international organisation) or if you are applying in the UK and have been lawfully resident for over 12 months, in which case financial evidence may not be required. A solicitor can advise whether to wait until the 28 days are complete or explore other lawful options to avoid refusal.
05.09.2025 12:44:27 Yes, this will likely be a problem. For a UK Student visa, the immigration rules require that the necessary funds are kept in your bank account for a continuous 28-day period ending no more than 31 days before the date of application. If the funds were deposited only 2 weeks ago, the requirement is not met, and the Home Office may refuse the visa. Unfortunately, additional letters of family support or proof of other long-term savings generally do not replace this 28-day rule, unless the money is held in another account that itself meets the requirement. Exceptions exist only if you are fully sponsored by an official body (government, university, international organisation) or if you are applying from inside the UK after 12 months of lawful residence, where financial evidence may not be needed. A solicitor can advise whether it is better to wait until the 28 days are complete or explore another eligible category to avoid refusal.
